Fend Off Foreign Invaders With the New Isamune® Plus With Zinc

The newest addition in the battle against the cold has arrived-and it even has a new flavor and optimized spray pump! Featuring immune-boosting zinc and three other new ingredients, your body will be ready for anything.

Yes, Isagenix did it again.  Great news!

 ISAMUNE PLUS WITH BOVINE COLOSTRUM,
ZINC, ECHINACEA, REISHI MUSHROOMS

The newest addition in the battle against the cold has arrived—Isamune® Plus With Zinc!
Sporting new, immune-boosting ingredients, a sweet Island Breeze flavor (think hints of pomegranate and spearmint) and even a newly optimized spray pump, your body will be ready to fend off germy invaders, allergens and more during the chilly winter months.

So why take Isamune Plus versus some of the “other guys” at the drug store? Here are five reasons:

1. Convenient- No need to dissolve it or swallow it. Simply spray Isamune Plus into your mouth up to five times daily and you’re good to go.

2. Bovine colostrum- Colostral proteins awaken organs, glands and other functions in newborns and these bio-proteins help normalize, maintain and regulate body function as we age. Supplementing with natural perfect proteins may help maintain a more balanced immune system.

3. Zinc- Did you know that if you’re even a teensy bit deficient in zinc, your immune system may be compromised? That’s because zinc helps guard your immune system. Another benefit? Studies show that if zinc is administered within 24 hours of the onset of a cold, you could see a reduction in the severity and length of your cold.

4. Echinacea- This member of the daisy family offers medicinal qualities that help support your body during cold and flu season.

5. Reishi mushrooms- Really! These little guys are highly regarded for their immune-modulating properties and overall health benefits to help increase your vigor and youthful vitality.
Protect yourself against those icky foreign invaders this cold and flu season by grabbing this key immune-booster right away! Your body will be more prepared to battle allergies, colds and the flu with this powerfully handy supplement.

7 Ways to Boost Your Immune System

Stay home if you are sick.

Keep your children home if they are sick.

I spent many years with one disease after another and can relate to the following information.
(Read 'My Story')  Now my immune system is strong and I am hardly ever sick (except for the aches and pains of overworking).  When I was finally diagnosed with Celiac Sprue 30 years ago and I learned how to eat gluten free according to my needs, I started building my immune system through proper nutrition.  A lady at work the other day thought I was younger than her by a couple of years and she is 13 years younger than I am.  What a compliment!!!  Taking care of yourself really pays off...

BEING HEALTHY SHOULD BE OUR FIRST PRIORITY

You’ve got enough going on in your life without worrying about the strength of your immune system. Your time is valuable — you don’t have extra hours or days to spend in bed, nursing your latest illness.
Your immune system is like a machine. It can get worn down, stop functioning as efficiently and become less effective. On the flip side, there are proven things you can do to tune up your immune system and get it working as effectively as possible.
Here is a look at seven amazing immune boosting techniques that may help you maintain your health.

1. Regular Exercise
Exercise isn’t just for losing weight. Studies show that getting 20 minutes or more of exercise three times per week not only lowers your risk for major diseases like heart disease and diabetes, it can also help boost your immune system, helping it ward off illness.
Remember that getting active doesn’t mean you have to go down to the gym and take out an expensive membership. Even turning off the TV in the evenings and going out for a walk can do the trick. Find activities you enjoy so exercise doesn’t become a chore you’re not likely to continue long term.

2. Adequate Sleep
Sleep is your body’s natural way of recharging your batteries, and that applies just as much to your immune system as anything. Experts recommend getting between seven and nine hours of sleep each night on a regular basis. Get less than that, and you’re putting your immune system at risk.
To increase your chances of a better night’s sleep, create a bedtime routine. This will settle your mind into knowing when it’s time to shut down for the night. Avoid watching TV or working on the computer just before turning out the lights. These activities stimulate the brain, making it harder for it to wind down. Also avoid excess caffeine throughout the day.

3. Balanced Diet
You may not think that cheeseburger and milkshake you ate for dinner is linked to whether or not you come down with the flu, but you’d be surprised. A diet high in saturated fat and sugar has been linked to immune system suppression. Studies show that increased sugar or saturated fat in the diet reduces the effectiveness of your white blood cells to fight off infection in your body.
Check the labels of the food you eat to make sure you’re not getting too much of anything in your diet. Avoid red meat, which is high in saturated fat and switch to lean proteins like chicken breasts or fish to round out your diet.

4. More Antioxidants
On the front lines in the battle against illness are antioxidants. That’s because these tiny little nutrients are the primary weapon against free radicals, which can wreak havoc on your immune system, as well as other processes that go on inside your body on a daily basis.
Antioxidants are found in abundance in healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. You can also supplement your diet by taking an effective and proven daily multivitamin and dietary supplement regime like the Ageless Essentials™ Daily Pack with Product B™ from Isagenix®. Our proprietary blend of vitamins and minerals helps protect against free radicals and gives your immune system an effective 1-2 punch against illness.

5. De-stressing Techniques
Adding stress to the list of things you have in your life makes it harder for your immune system to work effectively. Stress has been proven to lower your white blood cell count, meaning a little meditation can go a long way in the battle against cold and flu season.
Practicing simple relaxation techniques can help you manage your stress, such as deep breathing, meditation or even exercise. In fact, hitting the treadmill or other exercise has been shown to increase endorphins, natural hormones in your body that are released throughout your body and can help improve sleep and mood.

6. Laughter
A good belly laugh may be just what the doctor ordered. That’s because scientists have learned that laughter not increases certain types of white blood cells used in the fight against infection, but it also has a direct effect on stress hormones in your body. And you already know about how stress can affect your immune system.
So spend some time looking at the lighter side of life. Laugh at yourself or spend some time watching a funny movie or comedy routine.

7. Isamune® Plus with Zinc to Jump-Start Your Defense System
Let’s face it. Most days, you don’t have time to work out, watch what you eat, do yoga and sit in front of your favorite sitcom. Sometimes you just need a little help.
When you need a little boost in the battle to maintain good health, there’s Isamune Plus with Zinc. Our scientific formulation combines zinc with bovine colostrum, proline-rich polypeptides (PRPs), bilberry, blueberry, Echinacea, and Reishi mushroom. Together, these ingredients work synergistically to support the immune system’s ability to fight off “foreign invaders” in the body.
An important part of staying in peak health means keeping our immune systems primed to fight against these invaders on a daily basis. Isamune Plus with Zinc is a key player in helping keep our immune cells up to the task of protecting our bodies.

Hereditary Family Health Issues

Hereditary is defined in Webster's Dictionary as a "Genetically transmitted or transmittable from parent to offspring.  In our family we have 'Diabetes', 'Celiac Sprue', 'Low Thyroid ', 'Fatty Infiltration of the Liver', 'High Blood Pressure', 'Stroke', 'Cancer', 'Congestive Heart Failure', 'Menapause Symptoms', 'Hypertension', 'Epilepsy', 'High Triglycerides', 'Allergies', 'Arthritis', 'Epstein-Barr Virus', 'Reflux', 'Enlongated Stomach', 'Brain Tumor', 'Schizophrenia', 'Paranoia', and  'Manic Depression'.

Our family has spent a lot of time in doctor's offices and with a lot of prayers of medical help we are a surviving family.  We have truly been blessed and understand the statement, "We become strong through our trials."  We recognize different symptoms in our children and grandchildren at an early age so they don't have to suffer like some of us did.

Because of all the health problems we have in our family, we have learned to seek the best medical doctors available and also to eat healthy.  Each health problem has to be treated separately and so family reunions are tricky.

We bring food for diabetics.  We bring food for gluten free.  We bring food that don't cause seizures.  We have to worry about food allergies to peanuts, eggs and milk.   We have to have a low carb diet.  We have food for babies.  Healthy snacks and good wholesome food are a way of life for our family.

Does it sound like I'm complaining?  Well, I'm not.  I have found it is easier to eat properly than to be sick and the best part of all is that we haven't lost too many family members.  Everyone is pretty healthy.  It has taken a lot of work, study, and trial and error to figure out everyones diet but have learned so much.

I have had a lot of experience over the past several years of helping people learn to eat nutritional and I would love to help you too.

Please email me for a medical condition you need to understand more about.

FIBROMYALGIA-Autoimmune Disorder

In understanding the problem and learning how to feed the body proper nutrition you can bring the body to a PH Balance which helps in the healing process.  Everyone is different so you have to find what works best for you.  I like the Isagenix products and have listed them in this article.  I also eat gluten free everyday (for the past 30 years) but I also concentrate on getting the nutrients necessary to maintain health through nutrition.  I have free information on gluten free menu's and foods to avoid, eating out, etc. that I love to share.

Fibromyalgia is an autoimmune disorder of soft tissues.  Symptoms include general body pain, in some parts worse than others, usually brought on by short periods of exercise.  The pain is continuous, interrupts sleep patterns so the body cannot rejuvenate and heal.  Firomyalgia is an acid condition in which the liver is toxic.

Omega 3
The best natural treatments are Omega-3 Fats and MSM and a Liver Cleanse.  The goal is to eat less acidic-ash foods and more alkaline ash foods.  You can choose natural supplements such as IsaOmega Supreme dietary supplement which contains 1200 mg Omega-3 Fatty Acids, EPA 600 mg; DHA 480 mg; Pomegranate seed oil; Evening Primrose seed oil; Borage seed oil and Organic Flax seed oil.  Other ingredients are IsaOmega Natural Antioxidant Complex (di-alpha and natural tocopherols, rosemary extract and ascorbyl palmitate) and natural lemon flavor.

Cleanse for Life in Powder Form

Use Cleanse for Life once or twice a day.  This is a natural product that cleanses the impurities out of the body naturally.  It contains Niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and other ingredients.  You drink a lot of water also flushing the body of toxins.

Eat foods that are more alkaline:
*MultiGreens: take up to 4 times daily. (MultiGreens containes wheat and is not gluten free) Isagenix Greens drink powder is a convenient way to receive green foods daily.  Green foods contain phytonutrients that help support optimal health.  There are no artificial flavors or ingredients and contain 67% Vitamin C and 133% Vitamin E.
Drops added to water
make it PH Balanced

Vitamin C, Minerals and Calcium, are important supplements too.

Drinking water that is PH Balanced is important also.  Add drops from the IsaWater Concentrate to everything you drink to keep the PH Balance.

Give your immune system a boost with Isamune Plus.

Frozen Shoulder - Painful

After a busy weekend of helping my daughter and her family move, I could not move my left arm upward.  The first thing I noticed was I couldn't get a gallon of milk out of the refrigerator.  A simple thing of going through the drive through window at the bank was impossible and so I started parking and walking inside.

I kept working and found myself using my right arm more and more.  A few messages helped and a few trips to my chiropractor kept me able to function somewhat.  Finally I went to a orthopedic surgeon who did X-Rays and found there was nothing wrong with the shoulder bones and told me I had "Frozen Shoulder".  I had never heard of this.

I started physical therapy and it was so painful.  I tried to remember to take pain pills before I went but most of the time I was so busy at work that I would forget.  Well, I have been a good patient, trying to do the exercises correctly and as often as I could.  I found some exercises on the internet that were stretching exercises that really helped too.

Well, after 3 weeks at physical therapy the pain has decreased considerably and I can move my arm a lot more.  I am starting to do weight bearing exercises and can lift and work and am so grateful I'm getting my arm movement back.  I feel sorry for everyone I see with a shoulder injury.  I understand your pain.

This experience has made me realize how important exercising and stretching is to keep our bodies limber.  I've always exercised a lot, but when I didn't know what was wrong with my shoulder, I was afraid to exercise it.

Three Steps to Optimum Sports Performance

Three Steps to Optimum Sports Performance

By Isagenix Nutritional Sciences
IsagenixWhen winning is on the line, make sure nutrition is on your side. Athletes faced with the pressure of regular workouts and performance have increased nutritional needs, especially when it comes to protein. With Isagenix products, athletes can gain an edge. These step-by-step guidelines are full-proof for helping strength and endurance athletes meet performance goals.
Step 1: Get enough protein daily with help from high-protein IsaLean® Shakes, Bars and Soups.
Protein is major in sports performance. Without enough protein intake, athletic potential can be seriously hampered. This is because the body doesn’t store protein well. Continual replenishment is needed for repairing muscle breakdown and building new muscle tissue.
The average adult needs about 0.6-0.8 grams protein per kilogram (about 2.2 pounds) daily. Active adults should keep protein up to about 0.8 grams per kilogram daily. How much do athletes need? It can depend on exercise intensity and type of training. Studies on endurance athletes and strength training athletes suggest they can gain most from intake of 1.4 grams to 1.8 grams per kilogram daily, respectively.

n

Athletes can make sure they’re getting enough protein daily with IsaLean Shakes, Bars and Soups. These meal-replacements are high in protein and are balanced with healthy amounts of carbs and fats as well as a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals.

Step 2: Maximize muscle gains by drinking IsaLean® Shake in the morning and spacing protein intake throughout the day.
Isagenix
Protein intake daily is less important than time of intake. Studies show the biggest muscle gains come from  regular protein intake throughout the day. Consistent increases in plasma levels of amino acids support muscle recovery and growth.
Athletes on a typical Western-style diet may find their protein intake varies too much throughout the day. An athlete needing 90 grams of protein intake daily, for example, may eat breakfast of just an egg, toast and coffee (approximately 10 grams of protein), then a chicken sandwich for lunch (approximately 20 grams of protein), and, to make up the difference, steak for dinner (approximately 60 grams of protein).
Isagenix
Best advice for these athletes to make the biggest impact on muscle gains is to switch to a diet that provides quality sources of protein throughout the day. Athletes needing 90 grams of protein per day should have the same level of protein at breakfast, lunch and dinner at approximately 30 grams (see graph below). To help cover protein requirements in the morning, athletes should drink an IsaLean Shake for breakfast or with breakfast.
Plus, the combination of proteins in the shake can make a profound difference. Dairy whey is quickly absorbed protein giving athletes a large increase in amino acids. Milk protein is more slowly absorbed providing a sustained increase in plasma amino acids.

Step 3: Never end workouts without IsaPro® whey protein mixed into an IsaLean Shake
The one- to two-hour period right after a workout is prime time for muscle anabolism. It’s this time when you need protein most. The body is craving nutrients for muscle recovery and protein is highest on the list, especially if the protein is high in branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs).
Whey protein is rich in all the BCAAs: leucine, isoleucine, valine. Research studies show that extra fast-absorbing whey protein after workouts boosts muscle growth in active adults and athletes.
Isagenix
Enter IsaPro® Vanilla flavored whey protein: one scoop of IsaPro to one and a half scoops of IsaLean Shake provides a whopping 35 grams of protein per serving. The extra protein along with the extra nutrients from the shake makes for best muscle recovery
And don’t think it wrong to add in some fruit to your ultra-high protein shake after exercise. Studies show that some sugar during and after workouts induces an insulin response that helps drive protein synthesis along with helping to replenish muscle glycogen (carbs stored in your muscle for quick energy).

Are Your Children Drinking?  Astonishing facts about underage drinking are available on The Century Council Web Site  If you think your kids are immune, think again.  Adolescents tend to drink differently than adults.  Their goal is not to sit around enjoying a glass or two of wine over the course of an evening  Rather, for many teens, the point is to get as drunk as possible, as quickly and cheaply as possible, in part to reduce the social anxiety.

Unfortunately, there are not more and more dnagerous ways to accomplish this than ever before.  The practice of mixing alcohol and wuper caffeinated energy drings, the marketing of flavored malt beverages in 23.5 ounce cans, eaching containg a serious dose of alcohol, a shift in preference from beer to hard liquor and the influence of social media through which kids share Jungle Juice recipes and tales of their exploits have all raised the risks.

If you think your kids are immune, think again.  About 90% of all teen alcohol consumption occurs in the form of binge drinking which experts say peaks at age 19.  Underage drinking doesn't discriminate it impacts all demographics and communities and often peaks in May and June when kids are celebrating proms and graduations.

Do you know where your kids are?

Are adults setting bad examples for kids to follow?

We all face temptations to take harmful things into our bodies.  Drinks containing alcohol often brings cruelty, poverty, disease and plague into our homes.  It often is a cause of dishonesty, loss of chastity, and loss of good judgment.  Expecting mothers who drink can cause physical and mental damage to their children.   Many automobile accidents are caused by drunk drivers.

Fruits, vegetables, meats and grains are good for us.  Nutritional meals, regular exercise and appropriate sleep are necessary for a stong body.  Isagenix products are organically grown which means they dissolve in water.  Enzymes carry nutrients in the digestive system.

Carbonated drinks are not good for you and can paralize your immune system for up to 8 hours preventing calcium absorption.  IsaLean protein shakes can be taken everyday to provide all the vitamins, minerals and amino acids needed.
